Charles Paddock Zoo Charles Paddock Zoo News

Great, someone else not afraid to use their real name[presumably]..must be something to do with the rarity of the surname! Yes Charles Paddock is pretty ghastly, the only zoo ive been to in a long time that actually smelled bad.

This sentence from the paragraph sums up the "ghastly" zoo:

"Baker said the last new exhibit built specifically for a new animal species was in the 1980's."

Dr. Brown is fairly well known in the conservation and research world with large ungulates. Or at least I knew about him long before he joined ZooChat.

There is a lot of information on the link posted below, and it will be interesting to see which way the zoo will go. A loss of accreditation and possible closure...or $30 million in taxpayer investment. Judging from this article the zoo is in even worse condition than I suspected, as many basic aspects of the animal exhibits are lacking.

The Zoo has had a couple upgrades so far, most notably, the new Zoo entrance.

And they have moved their flock of Caribbean Flamingos to where the tiger garden is now located (in the front of the zoo, near the entrance).
