Pico, a five-year-old male giant anteater, has arrived at the zoo from Zoo Miami. He is recommended to breed with female Betsy according to the SSP.
Also on July 17th, the zoo announced they have moved their juvenile hellbenders to new tanks in the Hiwassee Hellbender Research Facility building.

On September 14th, it was announced that the zoo acquired (0.0.3) Catalina Island rattlesnakes from the Los Angeles Zoo in California, which will make the facility a new holder for the species.

Recently Zahri, one of their Fennec Foxes passed away. Zahri and Zeiti, twins born were born in the zoo in 2013.

On October 19th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) fennec fox named Zeiti passed away possibly due to a cancer of some kind (a full necropsy report is underway).

Recently male bobcat Gene Simmons was euthanised, he suffered from Intervertebral Disc Disease and age-related illnesses.
