Chester Zoo Cheetah Cubs

A vote on the zoo's Facebook page has resulted in the two female cubs being named... Shendi and Kinza :)

The male cheetah cubs are being named through a voting poll on the Liverpool Echo website - luckily the names are already selected rather than asking for the public to suggest :O)

apparently it's just one of them that has the infection? but it's right to treat the whole family - publically there is no further news on what it is etc but then I'd expect that as the zoo don't tend to give that kind of info publically.

just keep everything crossed

thanks :), will keep fingers crossed
I try to see them once a week they have grown quite a bit already :)
Pete

Is there any more news about the 2 male cubs?
I hope that they are fit and well
I always have a look when I'm at the zoo but no sign of them in their enclosure yet

Nothing officially Pete - but the fact that they are still with us nearly a month since the death of the 2nd female cub has got to be good news in my book.

Good point that , :)
I guess they are playing safe and keeping them under close observation indoors:)

They are indeed and when they go back on show the zoo I'm sure will annouce it,so that people can go and visit them again!

Some recent pics!

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I heard about these forums from a chap called Stuart at the Zoo today. Looks like a nice place to hang out and chat :)

I've got some pics of the Cheetah Cubs on my Flickr page (also some of the tiger cubs).

I don't mind if you add me as a contact as well :)

Some very nice photos there Gareth.:)

Welcome to ZooChat, the chap you was talking to was probably SMR;)

Yeah I'm sure he said his username was SMR.
That'd be me! It was good to meet you and check out both your Flickr and Google+ pages.

The active Chester members who are on ZooChat are a varied and entertaining bunch with a huge depth of knowledge and range of interests, but we all get along well and enjoy learning from fellow enthusiasts.

ooo hello there!

I'd definately class myself as one of the active Chester zoo chat members - nice of SMR to describe me as entertaining - I try my best **wink**
Welcome to the forum Gareth - see you lurking around the Cheetahs and Tigers no doubt as we appear to have similar progress projects on the go :O)

And get up other people's noses because there are so many, and the zoo is so good ;)
