Just wondering whether anyone has done the cheetah encounter at the Monarto Zoo, Adelaide and if so what it was like.
Thanks, Robyn

I did the cheetah tour during work experiece at the zoo in 2009, I enjoyed it very much. I was given the opportunity to pat one of the cheetah, Skukuza and the keeper took a photo of me with him. It really was an amazing experience, it was wonderful hearing him purr.

I would definitley recommend it, as well as the lion tour which I've done twice

Definately worth the experience.

I have done it a couple of times through the keeper for the day tour.

That tour also includes feeding the lions, african painted dogs, hyena, giraffe, zebra , rhino, etc and you get pretty close it it all.

You also spend time with the vet on whatever might be happening on that particpular day. One of the days we did it, an ostrich had died, so we watched the disection to try and find out the cause of the death.

The cheetah was an excellent part of the tour.

Thank you orbe and soona. Sounds like I would really enjoy the experience. Have booked a cheetah encounter for the holidays. Am really looking forward to it!
