Australia Zoo Cheetah passes away

Cleo a female Cheetah at Australia Zoo has passed away after a "sickness" according to a friend who is an ex cheetah keeper. Cleo was 7 years old and born at Monarto Zoo in SA.

Australia Zoo has removed "Cleo" from the website. This would confirm her death, Australia Zoo does not usually announce animal deaths to the public.

Australia Zoo is now holding a competition to name a new cheetah but that is all the details that they are providing

The zoo actually imported two 10 month old male cheetahs from De Wildt in South Africa. This means Australia Zoo now has 4.2.

The cheetahs have just turned one and have been named William and Josh.
