Found the below on a their website as I was researching Zoo's in the USA Southern States. Thought it was interesting not least by the number of people it ruled output by its requirements!


Now Hiring Zookeepers!
We are currently taking applications for full and part-time zookeepers.
All applicants must:
Apply in person
Be 18 years or older
Have your own transportation
Be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Like manual labor and not mind the weather hot or cold
Consent to background check and random drug testing
No excessive piercing, tattoos or unusually colored hair.

Chattahoochee Nature Center, Roswell, GA exhibits rehabilitated bald eagles and other raptors, beaver and in the learning center native freshwater fishes and herptiles.

Besides the Atlanta Zoo and Aquarium, do you think any of the others are must see? Given my interest in zoo exhibit design.

I visited both Zoo Atlanta and Georgia Aquarium in 2008 and both are AZA-accredited and well worth a visit. The rest of the zoos are all fairly small and not well known, although Chehaw Wild Animal Park is also AZA-accredited. If you head to Atlanta then I'd recommend the World of Coca-Cola (right next to Georgia Aquarium) and then maybe you can head south to Florida! There are more than 80 zoos in that state, including some of the more famous American institutions of the zoo world.

If you are in Atlanta you are only an hour east of Birmingham. If you are interested in exhibit design, then the elephant barn would be something that would interest you. It holds four bulls. As well as being a rotational exhibit. (White Rhino, Hippo, Giraffe, Ostrich, and Zebra)
