I would like to see a representative of the sheep or goat family somewhere in the zoo, along with a guenon or two![]()
I probably should've mentioned the cheetah activities yesterday. Two males were in the area south of the Bats Bridge, Adaze was still in the northerly annex but KT and Matrah had been successfully mixed in the yurt enclosure. They were actually busy - doing something - inside the small hut behind the grass mound, with KT diving in and out occasionally to look around. Fingers crossed that there's a positive outcome.
Possibly... there were reports yesterday that she could have been on-show, but when I saw her she was definitely back in the north annex. From memory, shouldn't Adaze's quarentine period be over now? I wonder if there are plans for her to be mixed with any males soon?
Rock Hyrax at Chester intresting wonder where they will be housed?

For the members area of the website, would anyone else read a monthly blog? possibly with different members of staff throughout the year (eg: Curator of birds, vets etc)
Nisha and Javan Rhino, if you register then you can put this idea forward to the zoo. it is something I hadn't thought of, but sounds interesting.
Do you know where to find the members area of the website? I've searched but all I could find were pages talking about the benefits of membership and pages to become a member![]()

I will definetly suggest it. I thought weekly at first but I know they are busy people at Chester so maybe monthly might be more realistic
Work on the Giant Otter house and underwater viewing area was going to start in January, however they have been mating and for this reason it's on hold to save any stress for her in case she turns out to be pregnant...Sloths are also on the cards although they are proving a challenge to source
