The "spoil" paddock is being renovated, as is the house, which has been in constant use since it was built.
So they zebra and oryx still use it?

What is it being renovated for or is it still for Zebra and Oryx? The "spoil" paddock is being renovated, as is the house, which has been in constant use since it was built.
I also saw a newly fledged Montserrat oriole and 4 brown-breasted barbet chicks (Lybius melanopterus) in the upper aviaries in the Tropical House (I still prefer the old name, there are far too many Realms at Chester).

Also in the Tropical Realm are five white-rumped shama (Copsychus malabaricus) chicks all in one nest; they're currently only visible if you're in the aviary but they will fledge any day (cell phone photo attached).
Very intresting news about the Tuatara thanksGood to read in the latest Z magazine that the tuatera have produced a clutch of eggs , a very long wait before they hatch , if fertile .
Does anyone know if there is planned to be an additional charge for the Dinosaur exhibition ?
I was really pleased to read that they no longer sell helium balloons , I used to hate seeing them stuck inside the roof of 'Tropical Realm' .
