I know its just you're speculation but what exactly did you mean?
Birma did seem to be integrated well into the herd, as Sheba accept her and become close friends quickly. I hope Sheba doesn't miss her too much as her health has been an issue for a few years now.
That they still want Birma to breed, but given Ti & Jangoli produce calves fairly regularly and they also have Sithami & Sundara coming along as future breeders, then Birma is possibly surplus to their needs for breeding.
But it seems rather an 'about turn' after bothering to import her only 3(?) years ago. I'm not convinced that is the real(or full reason) and I'd like to know more too.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Yes, seemed strange to import a new female to a herd that was developed socially.
Just that Birma`s chances to produce a healthy calf are pretty much nil now, she`s just too old. It was not overly likely 3 years ago, but given that she hasn`t become pregnant in the last 3 years despite Chester having a proven breeding bull, I can`t see how she could have a calf in France.
