has an artists impression or plans for the giant otters new home been released at all?
 
Tiger cubs

Seen the tiger cubs..yeahhh.....

Seen all of Pele....yeahhh.....

No cheetah cubs or otters yet though, still off-show.

The Missus :D
 
was Pele back outside in the waterfall enclosure?

Glad you got to see the tiger cubs, did you see all 3? I just managed 1.

Did you see the Zebra's by any chance?

We saw all 3 cubs. One was bold, one was a bit more hesitant and one came tumbling out of the 'den' and dashed back in!

Pele was out in the waterfall enclosure and we didnt see the zebra today.

This has already been posted on here by myself after I had read it in the the members magazine.I have no problems with them returning as it brought in a large amount of additional income for the zoo,which the zoo can put towards the building of Islands,which I think will surprise a few people when its finished.
 
I never saw them (except for the one from the canteen) so maybe I'll fit them into my schedule next year! Maybe they'll have bred by then.
 
If they bring extra money into the zoo then I have a problem with it at all and think it's a good idea. (provided they don't eat any guests or animals :p)
 
Cheetah cubs back on show- statement given by the zoo.

We're delighted to say that cheetah mum KT and her cubs Rufaa and Juba are back out in their enclosure today. All three have responded well to their veterinary treatment and are fighting fit! Thank you to all of you who have asked after them. This is a great, early Christmas present!

really pleased that they are fit and well again:)
will be spoilt for choice with them and the tiger cubs as well :D

I saw them today and I can confirm that they look well. I think the little ones were glad to have the chance to stretch their legs; one even managed to get a little way up one of the trees.

There has been more trouble with the Tropical Realm roof near the waterfall. There was a scaffolding tower being built, the door by the bridge was shut and the area past the radiated tortoises was cordoned off. I also noticed that the Alaotra gentle lemurs have been moved back to their original enclosure and the enclosure next to the red ruffeds is being renovated.

The panels blew out in the high winds recently, and they're exactly the same panels that blew out in early 2011 so the Tropical House team were none too pleased with the contractor. Thankfully, no birds were lost.
