1m in July! Had a look and that means they hit one million three days into the local school summer holidays..!
If that keeps up there're going to be some very big visitor figures by December.
With this being 29 July, it's highly likely that Chester'll get over 1.5 million or so.

Well they got 1.7 million for the whole of last year, so at this stage I guess they are well ahead

I know that it isn't the most reliable of sources, but I was browsing Zootierliste, and the site claims that Chester now hold Palawan binturong. Is this true? Are they on display yet?
I heard that a sun bear/binturong mix was possibly happening in the Islands enclosure, but I'd assumed that it would be a while until that is finished and it would be a long wait for the new inhabitants to arrive!

I had heard about the bear/binturong mix too...maybe they're offshow? Aren't Palawans too small though.... (even non-sub and Malayan binturongs are an average size for them, and Indochinese are very big).
Binturong certainly due ( hurrah! hurrah! ) but wasn't aware they'd arrived.

For once ztl is correct, but I have not had it confirmed by anyone at Chester, but I trust my source 100 % ,enough to say that they are at Chester but are off show.
Is the sunbear enclosure still split? Maybe the plan is to eventually move them in their to allow them all to get used to each other before islands?
