Interesting; I cannot think of anywhere they could go in Islands, so I suspect the Elephant House or ROTRA are more likely options.

It has been confirmed by Chester in the comments section of the video that they are indeed, as NigeW said, outside the Elephant House. As you exit it (after passing the tree shrews and fish tank) their enclosure is on the lower path that takes you back to the main entrance of the zoo.
There were keepers working on an enclosure there when I visited a few weeks ago, so that must be where they are if they are outside the Elephant House, as the aviary is being used for azure-winged and red-billed blue magpies.

Prevost Squirrel?! What a nice addition to an already good zoo!
Enclosures in which both Prevost's Squirrels and Red-bellied/Pallas' Squirrels have been kept before, of course. Nice to see them back at Chester.
I'm interested to know that too; I've never seen one before. They definitely weren't signposted when I was there.
Sadly I never saw the Pallas' Squirrels at Chester - nor anywhere else - and given the fact they are on the banned EU list now, I doubt I ever shall.

There's also the feral population in the south of France, which I assume is a) still there and b) the reason the species is on the aforementioned list.
Guess what? I have some pretty average photos of these squirrels taken on 29th July 2006. I believe they were Callosciurus erythraeus gongshanensis. I will post one when I finish my current batch of scans

A press release just issued detailing some of the projects planned for this Autumn:
The developments will include a new behind the scenes Bornean orangutan area in the zoo’s Realm of the Red Ape exhibit, improvements to its Monkey House and a new bird aviary building.
Visitors will also be delighted by the creation of a new outdoor space for the zoo’s pair of two-toed sloths, Tina and Rico, a new habitat for the giant anteater alongside the current capybara exhibit and improvements to the cheetah viewing yurt.
Stunning new journeys within the zoo’s South East Asian habitat, Islands, will also be created.
This will include a large state-of-the-art walkthrough bird aviary, a new home for the zoo’s two sun bears Milli and Toni, and an impressive Malayan tapir exhibit.
Visitors will still be able to complete a full expedition through Islands to see every species and habitat while the development is under construction.
The entire 125-acre zoo will remain open throughout the autumn as normal.

Interesting that the anteaters are moving....does this mean they will split the current capybara enclosure in two? Or do they mean the long, thin enclosure next to miniature monkeys?
This will also mean the round enclosure, current anteater enclosure and the former cassowary/cheetah enclosures will all be empty....I wonder what's planned for that corner?

The anteaters were originally planned to go into the long thin enclosure, I expect that is where they will be housed.
cassowary/cheetah enclosure is under development for a new species.
