They are all last year I think if we are counting december onward really I would count that lot as in last years baby boom
 
Personally I think that last year is when the baby boom started and it ran through into this year. It depends on how you look at it.
 
Note from secret life, next week they teased Napo and Goshi and the fact that they need them to breed otherwise Napo will move on, is this suggesting that the studbooks have allowed them to bread or they are making sure he mounts her for when the time eventually comes when they are allowed to?
 
2017 is hardly booming with babies as far as I know, but I have not been for almost 6 weeks, despite ShonenJake and TLD trying their very best to make me do so.

1 Rothschild's giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi)
1 short-eared elephant shrew (Macroscelides proboscideus)
1 Sulawesi crested macaque (Macaca nigra)
1 Bornean orang utan (Pongo pygmaeus pygmaeus)

No doubt they have baby bats as well but I never go there anymore,ever since I had a severe reaction to the smell, my eyes watered and I ended up walking into a wall because I could not see :D

My friend bongorob is known for liking bongos so much that he can't count them accurately. Apparently he has now developed the same problem with baby elephants :p
 
hehe I can never find elephants. went to Dublin twice in the same week in 2009 and never saw a single one. :)

I'm sure all will be revealed next week. As for the studbook, it is administered by Chester zoo. The pair has not bred.

I note your reference to bread, is there jaguar bread now to go alongside tiger bread? :D
 
The new giraffe calf is male, it has been announced. With one calf still due fairly imminently, Chester now holds 5.6 Baringo Giraffes.
