Just a few questions regarding the bird collection at Chester zoo
Have the following left the collection or are they off show at the moment,
Asian Glossy Starling, Blue Headed Macaw, Blue Throated Macaw, Brazilian Grey Breasted Conure, Cape Teal, Cinnamon Ground Dove, Crested Dove, Eider Duck, Emerald Dove, Ferruginous Duck, Golden Breasted Starling, Golden Conure, Greater Rhea, Green Wood Hoopoe, Hooded Merganser, Iris Glossy Starling, Lesser Sulpher Crested Cockatoo, Malayan Crestless Fireback, Mount Apo Lorikeet, Nicobar Pigeon, Purple Naped Lory, Red Crowned Amazon, Red Jungle Fowl, Red Tailed Amzon, Red Tailed Laughing Thrush, Red Vented Cockatoo, South African Duck, Taland Red & Blue Lory, Tufted Duck, Village Weaver, Violet Plantain Eater, White Collard Yuhina, White Crested Turaco, White Throated Orange Headed Ground Thrush, White Rumped Shama, Yellow Backed Chattering Lory.
Any information on these species would be gratefully received if you actually know their location within the collection that would be even better.
I do find the collection at the zoo very interesting and a joy to visit there aren’t many better collections within the UK unless they are specialised collections the very best of the collection I find is in the Tropical Realm and this is one reason I keep returning to the collection.
