Not at the moment, they were in there temporarily while their enclosure near the snow leopards was being renovated, now that’s done they’ve moved back in.

Red pandas were still signed in RORA on 11th & 12th July. Have they moved since then?

A memeber of staff told me that the female red panda is still in RORA, the male is in his old enclosure.

The main area is for giraffes, zebra, Roan and blesblok antelope and ostrich.

Plus the return of the pai ted dogs, a Vulture Aviary, dikdik. Warthog, a new Meerkat enclosure a new Aardvark enclosure, flamingos in the large aviary, plus a small house with amonst other, naked mole rats

Thank you for the quick response, I am really looking forward to the main large mixed enclosure, they also do this at the flamingo land zoo which is always fun to go and see.
Are they planning on moving the current giraffe population or bring in a herd: sub species of giraffe in?

It's the current group that will be moving over, there will be a separate bachelor group, but these will only be visible from the overnight stay part of the development.

There is no big dome, think you have seen the pictures of the 2011 original heart of Africa, that was a larger monsoon forrest type exhibit for African forrest species

Sorry I must have missed a lot of info. So is the heart of Africa only going to be a new better Savannah? And are there by chance any visualizations of what it will look like yet?

Yeah, I do want to say -- the reuse of the Heart of Africa name really is a major point of confusion. If you google "chester zoo heart of africa", three of the first eight results refer to the old plan, including the number one result.
