Saw the new arrival for the Chimps and the Okapi juvenile was super showy which was fun. .

I believe the new calf is male.

That would be better than a female I think, given there are apparently major problems with fresh importations at present, even if the current males are related to each other.

Asian Giant Toad, White-headed Munia, and Red Avadavat at least were all still present on my last visit to RotRA. The toad viv had been recently refurbished as well.

I didn't see any personally though I was in somewhat of a rush so I might have missed them.

The finch aviary only houses 3 species

White-headed Munia
Tricolor Parrot Finch

There is also Horn-headed Lizard in the small viv in the corner next to the finch aviary

Ah thank you, are the babirusa and otters still near there as I thought they were in that area

Ah yes, otters were sharing with the orangs. I saw my only babirusa of the day beneath the Bat Bridge.

My visit last week marks the very first time I've ever seen the otters in ROTRA, a few of them were running around in one of the outside areas, but sadly they didn't sit still long enough for any photos.

Glad you have seen them at last Jambi, but surely you must have heard them in the past. I think they are the nosiest animal ever.

On 1st January 2021 Chester held 1.2 Timoer Sparrows. The male died and the two females were exported.
