Yes. Personally, I think the area would benefit from being opened to the back of Dragons in Danger (which now also feels strange with all the fences) and better still, the path alongside the stable block to Jubilee Square being reopened.
 
Visited today & as mentioned above Indali was on show in the house. She looked in good spirits & not at all fatigued or drained which is good news. Also the Wattled cranes are sat on an egg but couldn’t confirm if this was a fake one or not? Also the giant otters didn’t seem to be on show today. Could mean nothing of course but potentially exciting all the same.

Also I only noticed today that the zoo have 3 Boelens pythons in realm of the red ape - I thought there was only one before or have I just never seen the others!
 
it is satellite maps. It is an aerial view of Chester Zoo. You can't access GogleMaps from Zoochat,you will need to look at Google maps on the internet for yourself.

Fantastic news about Indali! Thanks for posting this update!

What did you think of the new Madagascar exhibit, and can you confirm what species are in it please as I've lost track a bit with what was confirmed, expected, rumoured etc?
 
As far as I know, it is ring-tailed lemur and red ruffed lemur in the walk through and the enclosure has black lemur and collared lemur.
 
It’s Fossa in the first enclosure, Black Lemur in the second enclosure, and Ring-Tailed Lemur, Red-Ruffed Lemur, and Crowned Lemur in the walkthrough. I’m not sure if the Crowned Lemur have access to the walkthrough yet, but you can sometimes see them in their off-show pen at the back of the enclosure.

Thanks. To be honest I'm a little underwhelmed - I love ALL lemurs, but for a zoo as big as Chester the species list seems a bit uninspired. I guess its more a case of what they could get, but I'm surprised that the Belted Ruffed Lemurs don't feature - I guess they are in their old enclosure? I do hope the previously mentioned Sifakas will appear at some point, but time will tell... Crowned Lemurs are always extremely welcome though!

I don't know if it applies to the belted ruffed lemurs, but when the volunteers were chatting during the opening, a couple mentioned that the ring-taileds on the island can't move to the walk-through because they're too confident around people.
 
The black lemurs already have a baby.
Crowned lemurs are still in quarantine but can be seen at the back of the walk through which they will eventually go into.
