Chester Zoo Game

I really want to say Pin-striped Damba ... but I can't fit my latter into your former (and I didn't mean that to sound all oo-er)

OH, wait.... Dam Busters!

Is the correct answer! :D

(I was working from 'pinstripe' not 'pin-striped', though, for word count technicality avoidance!)

I realised after re-awakening this thread that now my email box and "alert" list are going to be cram-filled with notifications about this thread....

cool bananas. I thought "natty" and "spiffy" at first, then pin-striped popped out, so Pin-striped Damba was obvious - had to google to see if it was at Chester though! Chastise took a bit longer to come to me (for the other players, Operation Chastise is connected to the Dam Busters in WWII).

Now that's clever

okay. This one I think is easy enough.

Feeling sad when it gets no sun.

...it does come up (on UK Google at least) on the first page if you Google 'Chastise' - which I figured people would do once I called attention to the capital C..!

on the fourth page for me! And only as a mention under the Wikipedia link for Castigation.

not a Sun Bittern or a Giant Anteater.

There's a little bit of word-play involved in this one too. Think of some recent discussion on the Chester news thread.

Not quite sure if this is really easy or really hard but anyway:

Not without controversy but now deceased, many bare his name.
