Chester Zoo Game

kind of a vague reasoning - is it jaguar? Because Goshi is melanistic, and there is a superhero character called Black Panther who doesn't quip (so he is strict, and "black panther" can be used to also refer to black jaguars). And I think Chester's exhibit is Spirit of the Jaguar or something like that.
That's so much better than mine, you're very skilled at this game if this is right, also yes the exhibit is called spirit of the jaguar

Part of your reasoning is correct, but this species is a lot smaller.

Leaf cutter ant, found in spirit of the jaguar, and has superhuman strengths for an ant.

Edit: Ants can also link to antman from marvel

I have no idea what is kept inside the jaguar house, so if that is the part of the clue I got correct that doesn't help me...

How about the Green Phantom Plec I see on Zootierliste, because the Phantom was a comic-strip hero. And so was the Green Lantern, if that helps :p

Sorry about that. You are within the right class now, at least. The first part of the clue is more wordplay on the common and latin names of the species.

oh is the Severum? Heros and "severe". I'm guessing Chester has that.

Is it indeed, I probably gave too much away with that last clue. Your turn.
yes, a bit. I had thought of severe in terms of strict earlier in the game, but it wasn't until you mentioned the Latin name that I suddenly clicked.

Okay, so this is going to either be really obvious or really "Huh? What?"

"If a duckling is a little duck, then a starling is a little star. I should imagine that scissors could induce fear." - Your answer is half way from there.

Is it to do with the common name or latin name?

I'm going to sleep now - I'll be back in the morning (my time) and see which answers have been suggested.

Greater Scissortail
Threelined Scissor Rasbora
no, it is not a fish. And I won't accept multiple guesses in one post (so in future one answer per post).

This seems to be in the "what?" category rather than the "obvious" one, so here's the first additional clue:

On the previous page of this thread is your clue.
