Chester Zoo Chester Zoo News 1982 to present day

The ones from 1937-1982 should be on a CD obtainable from the zoo library, either in person or by post. It's worth asking them. When I had my CD two years ago it was £5.

You could also ask if any of the newer magazines are available to buy.
 
Thanks for the reply I have purchased the CD for the older issues. Thanks for the idea aof asking if you can still get the newer issues its worth asking anyway.
 
I'm not sure there are (were) any monthly newsletters or news/guide publications after December 1982. I don't have any in my collection and haven't seen any on my travels either.
 
If I remember rightly 1982 was the year Penny Rudd joined the zoo as the editor of the Zoo magazine, so that would explain a change of format, was this when it changed from being monthly to quartely?
 
The Chester Zoo magazine became quarterly in Spring 1983 and was titled Chez News, becoming Chester Zoo Life from Spring 1988, Zoo Life from Summer 2003 and Z from Spring 2006.

1992 had a combined Autum and Winter issue and there were only three issues in 1993.

Despite having been published in its current form since Spring 1983, the Spring 2000 issue was printed with issue no.1 on the cover.

The current layout has a cover price of £2.50 although I have never seen it on sale anywhere.

Personally I find the present format of Z magazine uniteresting.
