Masks are no longer needed for the Lemur walkthrough or anywhere else in the zoo but its your choice whether you want to wear a mask or not.
Thank you for the info. Just a shame that the baby fossa will either be all grown up or moved onto other collections by the time I get back down to Chester, it would have been nice to see them.Masks are no longer needed for the Lemur walkthrough or anywhere else in the zoo but its your choice whether you want to wear a mask or not.

Is it just going to be red pandas and snow leopards in the Himalayan area? Or are they going to bring in more new species? Same with the the heart of Africa or is it yet to be announcedWell just in answer to several posts on here regarding the possibility of Snow Leopards coming to Chester Zoo. Well, all of those who have membership will have your Z Magazine on your doorstep any day now.
In here is the breaking News that work has begun on the new Himalayan Zone which will include a state-of-the-art enclosure for Snow Leopards. And Chester Zoo are looking forwards to welcoming a Breeding Pair in 2024.
Also confirmed is work is starting soon on 'Heart Of Africa' and this 27-acre exhibit will be hopefully completed by 2025.

Knowing how prolific Chester is on this site I'm sure this has been discussed at length somewhere, but what exactly will be included in "Heart of Africa"? Any site plans or renderings? Also confirmed is work is starting soon on 'Heart Of Africa' and this 27-acre exhibit will be hopefully completed by 2025.

There’s also an Ethiopian Viper as well.
Also they said not long ago, the wild dogs would be moving to where the Cheetah used to be, I guess that is just whilst heart of Africa is being constructed?

James I think it is a new fence.
Z magazine now says 4 African vulture species will be in Heart of Africa. The zoo already has white-headed and African white-backed vultures. I am guessing one of the others will be hooded vulture.
And it says they getting ostrich aswellGreat list - and I'm guessing that the off-show Blesbok and Secretary Bird may well end up in there too.
Seems odd if they are doing a new fence in the Cheetah enclosure when there is already an existing one underneath the bridge.
The back page has been a waste of space ever since the breedings and arrivals lists were no longer printed.
One breeding for this year seems to be Parson'c chameleons, several young are on show in the Tropical House.
Shavington Zoo I sent you a PM in April. Did you not get it?
