Chester Zoo Chester Zoo News 2023

When did the other part to view them from get closed off because I used to love going down there to watch them to avoid crowds on the bridge
Yes we used to like sitting in there it was nice and peaceful, it’s been closed for a few years now which is such a shame, not sure why they stopped people going there, had nice views of the deer from there too

Seeing or not seeing animals is down to how well Chester design most of there exhibits, most have places the animals can hide from the public, even when they have access to the on show areas.

It's great for the animals and shows in the breeding success the zoo has, but does result in most complaints on say trip advisor or the like.

Although it is a public attraction, it's main purpose/objective is conservation and education.

Does anyone know which bears are in which enclosures at the moment then. When I visited on Saturday there were 2 in the main enclosure (didn’t see any in the one behind) and there was also Andean bear signage on the SOTJ enclosure.
