The zoo has posted the plans for its giraffe exhibit renovation. It seems as if a new 10,000 sq foot giraffe barn will be built near the zoo entry. It will have indoor giraffe feeding, a cafe, gift shop, and a attached South American exhibit.

The giraffe will have 2 major outdoor exhibits, and a smaller yard. Additionally the giraffe exhibit will be expanded onto a hillside area. It appears the existing giraffe barn will also be retained. Additionally the zoos vulture and porcupine will receive a new indoor/outdoor aviary.

Overall this will be nearly four times more space for giraffes.

Already reported on last year, so the answer is yes, with Muscovy duck and emperor tamarins.

Here is the population list made by @Zoo adventures earlier this year, I believe the only other change to this list is that Honey at the Lincoln Park Zoo has passed away since then, so the remaining population should be at 8.7 plus a few other unknown individuals at a total of 11 facilities in North America.
