Chimpanzees in Europe

Unfortunately, the population has been small for a long time, and in the last 5 years, only 5 individuals were born in 2 institutions (Zoo de La Palmyre and Zoo Plzen), and 4 of them have survived to this day.
Does this mean that Plzen houses Pan troglodytes troglodytes? I was under the impression the zoo housed a hybrid troop.

Two male West African chimpanzees have been moved from Animal Advocacy and Protection (AAP) in the Netherlands to La Vallée des Singes.

Their names are Bongo and Klaus. They had been staying at the rescue centre in Almere since 2016. Before that, they had been used for years to take photos with tourists on the Spanish island of Tenerife.

BONGO was born at a zoopark in Teneriffe in 2013, KLAUS in 1992 in the wild - a good choice for La Vallee des Singe to start breeding. Both are pure verus.
If you mean Bongo, who was born in Loro Parque in 2013, then that is not the same one. According to a post by Loro Parque, he at least was still there in 2018, and not at Stichting AAP.
