Maybe he has retreated to an ashram to find himself. I expect to see a bald Chlidonias in orange robes walking down the streets of Delhi, playing a tambourine and singing 'hare Krishna'.

In Assam he is much more likely be robbed by a troop of hoolock gibbons
Aren't there Maoist separatists in Assam too?
I certainly hope he's okay and is just out of service at the moment.

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what has happened to Chlidonias- he posts so regularly and at such depth on his travels that dropping out of sight like this is a total surprise.
Anyone had any contact from him?
Its been 3 weeks.
I'm getting a little concerned too - even when he was mostly incommunicado in Burma one or two people had heard from him, and to my knowledge he was due to be leaving India by now.

Out of curiosity, I did a search in Google and found a Facebook post written by the official page of the Jia Bhorelli Wild Resort, at the Nameri National Park and Tiger Reserve. The post enclosed a photograph which presumably is of him.
Depending on when he was visiting the resort, this at least tells us that he was active and well for 8 days of the period he has been incommunicado.

I enquired on the above mentioned page about the duration of Chli's stay, and was told he was at the JBWR from Feb 24th to March 4th. Rather less worried now

Good detective work TLD, that is reassuring. NZ media is usually fairly good at reporting lost tourist stories, and there haven't been any recently from India, so that's also a good sign.
hi guys, just in an internet cafe now in Guwahati. Hasn't been any WIFI available anywhere in Assam. Didn't expect that Jia Borhelli photo to appear on the internet! I'm looking a bit like a concentration camp survivor now, I've lost so much weight. I'll be in Kolkata in a couple of days and will have WIFI then so can do some updates. Lots of nice animals seen. I'm expecting about 700 unread emails in my inbox after three weeks unchecked!
