Christmas 2020 photo puzzle

I suspect that pavon/peacock/ocellaris are all references to the prominent eyespot on the caudal peduncle of this fish. My devious mind concentrated on the 'pea' - I needed a way to insert another fish, particularlry a rather confusing one.
The photo for C was taken at Chester and the animals there are labelled as Cuora galbinifrons, Paignton also has the same species I think they are labelled as Vietnamese box turtles. Bristol has Cuora bourreti, which was thought to be a subspecies, but is now considered a full species, although they look very similar. This is the Central Vietnamese flowerback box turtle that @lintworm named. I do not know how to tell the difference and I didn't think it mattered for the quiz because the important word was 'box', so either answer works (as does 'flower' of course). Other box turtles are available of course ;)

I'm sorry for my delay in posting the final solution. I have not been too well, but it has just been a bad cold (a Covid test was negative, I'm glad to say).

A Hyacinthine macaw (Paignton)

B Dusky leaf monkey (Twycross)

C Vietnamese box turtle (Chester)

D Palm-nut vulture (Exmoor)

E Lilac-breasted roller (Chester)

F Grey-necked crowned crane (Lotherton) = Cranesbill, a vegetable named after an animal

G Striped grass mouse (Chester)

H Plum-headed parakeet (Twycross)

I Strawberry dart frog (Paignton)

J Tomato clown (The Deep)

K Violet tauraco (Birdland)

L Kelp goose (Blackbrook)

M Mangrove snake (Paignton)

N Peacock bass (Bristol)

O Cherry-crowned mangabey (Colchester)

P Roseate cockatoo (Blackpool)

Q Pine marten (Highland WP) I would have accepted beech marten too

R Northern tree shrew (Chester)

S Cotton-top tamarin (Cotswold)

T Vietnamese mossy frog (Paignton)

U Bamboo shark, but it's really an epaulette shark (Chester)

V Western plantain-eater (Lotherton)

W Straw-coloured fruit bat (Cotswold)*

X Quince monitor (Chester)

* The bat is the second odd-one-out, because it is named after 2 vegetables, although I would have to accept flower-backed box turtle too.

I wish I had photos of a cane rat (or grass cutter), a lemon shark, a sargassum fish, a weedy sea dragon, a wood ibis or a wood turtle - but I don't. I also wish I could have found a photo of a monkey looking very puzzled, that might have been tricky ;)
On the other hand, I decided not to include any European birds although the reed bunting and the sedge warbler were tempting. My inner Mepistopheles did suggest including a photo of a chiffchaff as an odd-one-out, to see who could tell it from a willow warbler - but I thought that would have been too devious. Likewise I judged that the Brazil nut dart frog and the lemon cichlid would have been unfairly hard.

I think it would be fair to name 3 joint winners this time : so congratulations to @amur leopard, @lintworm and @Tetzoo Quizzer :) I hope you enjoyed the challenge.
