For the past few days, I have been on a road trip from Kansas City all the way to North Carolina on the east coast, where I will be living for the next few years. I had time to stop at one zoo of my choice, on the way there, so I chose Cincinnati. And as much as I wanted to, I couldn't stay there all day since we had to get back on the road. I was only able to stay there for 4 hours, so yet again, there are some exhibits or areas of the zoo that I have excluded on this list.
Roo Valley: The line to this place was absolutely ridiculous, and it probably would've taken about an hour just to see the animals. I know they had Red and Western Gray Kangaroos, along with Little Blue Penguins and multiple species of ducks. The long wait combined with the low number of species present in this area made me move on to other areas that weren't so crowded.
Cat Canyon, Elephant Reserve, Spaulding Children's Zoo, & Blakely's Barnyard Bonanza: I had to skip these areas of the zoo due to time restraints. I wanted to visit them, but since I got to these areas only a few hours away from closing time, I walked past them so I had time to see other parts of the zoo.
P&G Discovery Forest & Harold C. Schott Education Center: To be honest, I didn't even see this part of the zoo until I was looking over the map while making this thread. Are there any animals exhibited here?
Miscellaneous Exhibits: These are the exhibits that I missed by mistake or ones that I had to gloss over due to time restraints. According to the map, they don't seem to be part of any major sections and as far as I know, seem to be placed in random spots around the zoo. They include:
- Galápagos Tortoise exhibit behind Bald Eagle exhibit.
- Wolf Woods
- African Penguin exhibit
- Red Panda exhibit
- Okapi, Bongo, Zebra, and (Greater?) Flamingo exhibit
Excluding the exhibits I mentioned above, every other exhibit will be included on this list. On another note, I'm sorry if I miss any species. I try to write down every single species I see, but sometimes I forget to write down animals I don't see.
Red Text: Animal Off-Exhibit/No-Show
Blue Text: Present, but missing signage
Regular Text: Animal present on my visit
Species sharing an exhibit will be written on the same line.
These animals are listed in order from when you first enter the exhibit, from when you exit.
This list is accurate as of 7/2/21.
