Manjula, their Indian rhinoceros, passed away.

That's awful news! Manjula really gave me an appreciation for Indian Rhinoceros during my trip to Cincinnati.

So many iconic animals have passed at the Cincinnati Zoo this year...truly saddening...it's a lot to hear, considering I haven't gotten any alerts from this thread, despite having had it watched since it was made...

Kiloro born at White Oak Conservation Centre to Nanoki and Siri. Siri now deceased
Riley born at Cincinnati Zoo to Kiloro and Kuvua

Kuvua born at Cincinnati Zoo to Sungura and Lisala II. Both now deceased

6 king penguins, 4 magellic penguins, 7 southern rockhopper penguin, 11 African penguins and 32 little blue penguins.

King Penguin: 3 males and 3 females.
Magellanic Penguin: 4 males.
Southern Rockhopper Penguin: 3 males, 3 females and 1 of unknown gender.
African Penguin: 7 males and 4 females.
Little Penguins: 16 males and 16 females.

The number in the left side 1.0 represents the number of males.
The number on the right side 0.1 represents the number of females.

If there is a third digit (0.0.1) then it shows how many of an unknown/unassessed gender there is.

Interesting numbers.

I assume that the little blue penguin are a core breeding group. Not sure about either the African or Antarctic species (for most way too few in number). Why Magellanic and African black-footed?

Magellanic Penguins:

Not sure about the other ones except the only rockhopper penguin I know is Bocko.
