Wow, thank you so much! This helps me a bunch. In your opinion is this a full day zoo? For comparison I did not make it through Columbus in the time I had (opening until 3PM), I will be with a 8 year old boy, so stopping at the children's area or any playgrounds will be a use of time too.

It's a full day zoo. It took me about 6.5 hours.

Actually stopping and looking at the zoo or just running through to see specific parts or animals? I have (literally) ran through zoos when I was limited on time (Louisville in about 1.5 hours, Alabama Gulf Coast in 40 minutes, etc.), but I would have gotten much more out of the zoo with more time, actually stopping at the exhibits.

For me it’s usually a nearly full day, but I am absolutely not a fast visitor and we backtracked a little to get a second shot at some animals we missed. Watched the cheetah show. Maybe took the train. Six hours sounds doable when I consider what’s actually there.

Not running, I skim through certain habitats reading the signage to see if it’s stop worthy, reptile house, insects, dragons, birds of world etc. When visiting a zoo I don’t care too much for big name species or rarities but more so my interests. I do not skip exhibits to a new visit though.

What ever happened to the planned duiker habitat?

If I remember correctly they were originally planned to be in with the Burmese Mountain Tortoises in the former saddle bill stork outdoor exhibit.

Absoloutly a full day zoo imo. I don't think there's been a single visit where I haven't been there almost entirely from open to close!

Two cheetah cubs named Zola and Lulu will be joining the Zoo’s Cat Ambassador Program.

Turns out there was a third female cheetah cub in that litter, but that cub will be transferred to another zoo in a few weeks and that is where she will be named and raised.

He is not at the zoo to my knowledge, could be part of a show though. Most likely passed on or at another zoo.
