Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Cleveland Metroparks Zoo 2017 News

They plan on both the snow leopards and Edgar the Amur going into this exhibit, correct?

Yes. The takin will fit into this area nicely. Have they even been on exhibit yet? I am beginning to think they may delay them and debut them with the rest of the exhibit.

No. The takin are going in the old camel exhibit. The onagers are in the exhibit next to the crane/deer exhibit shown.

Which is strange to me. I thought for sure they would be using that exhibit, with some improvements, for the takins considering its such a larger space. It could be used in a better way in my opinion.

Sorry I’m not completely sure if the leopards and red pandas are? Are they being located to where the bear grottoes are? Are the grottoes being demolished?

The exhibit is going be located along the back hillside next to Grin 'n Bear Eats. This exhibit along with the 2019 cheetah exhibit are meant to fill some of the zoo's empty spaces.

Has it been mentioned Kibbibi, the black rhino, is apparently due in Feb? The zoo put out a video celebrating her 14th Birthday and its mentioned shes pregnant with her second calf.

They do have sea eagles and they are not moving. I saw that. I thought that was weird. The neighboring tufted deer and crane should be part of the exhibit too. They could have been on the logo.

I was gonna say the eagles have such a nice exhibit it’d be a shame to see them move, but that woulda meant a new raptor but I’m lowkey glad they are staying in their exhibit.
