The zoo has posted on their Instagram that the Pearl Rd. entrance to the zoo (closer to The RainForest) is temporarily closed. Guests coming to the zoo will have to use the Fulton Rd. entrance (Closer to PC&A)

We went on Friday to walk and get our trading cards. It sounds like there's going to be 20 total to collect and this is "series 1" and giveaways are one per membership, limited to the first 100 people. The employee didn't know say how many they were going to do. I didn't think to ask if they were going to sell packs of these cards in the gift shop, plus collectibles are still hot right now. I'll try to put a picture of the cards I got. I really hope I don't see any on Ebay or Facebook Marketplace or wherever.
We walked through the Wilderness trek and took a bus to the PCA. Does anyone know if they've had a bus before? It's been a few years since I went during the day in the winter and I feel like the tram always took us up.
Still no sign of the baby tiger (makes sense), one tufted deer was out, and this is the first time I really noticed Kayembe is getting big. He's also just like a child and he was 'acting up' and misbehaving and running around the exhibit with his dad and foster mom.

I believe they have a bus during Dec/January for PC&A. After it warms up it goes back to the trams. I believe the female Tufted Deer is still inside with the newborn, similar to the Tiger situation.
Just finished a short CMZ visit. Here's what was new/different:
- Pathway around Wilderness Trek closed between Wolf Wilderness and Bear Hollow. Seeing the Tigers, Seals, Bears, and Asian Highlands requires going under the Fulton Rd Bridge.
- Harbor Seal and American Black Bear off exhibit.
- Saw a group of what looked like zoo officials with clipboards and cameras touring PCA. I could not hear their entire discussion but the Gorillas moving was mentioned as well as animal space.
- Ring Tailed Lemurs have returned to the zoo. They now inhabit the first three Lemur exhibits in PCA.
- Rat Kangaroo is no longer signed in Gumleaf Hideout.
They really need to create a bypass that connects the two paths to Wilderness Trek. Even if it is only a narrow one.

We went yesterday (the 9th) again and that section was completely shut down. They had a backhoe right by the reindeer exhibit and only the wolf cabin was open. We didn't try from the other side, going right from the main entrance plaza (it was too wet to stay any longer and nothing was happening)
No bus service yesterday, either.
I didn't see a bus when I went on Monday either. I wonder if they only run it on busier days, since you rode it on Friday. Monday was absolutely dead.

The ordeal of the Wilderness Trek path closure is over! They were just tearing up some concrete, maybe for electrical/culvert work. The path over by the wolf lodge is fully open again and we didn't run into any real closures during our walk through today. No bus again today, that's gotta be because of the lack of visitors (we saw maybe 15 visitors today and less than 5 on Tuesday)
One volunteer said she'd guess the tiger cubs would be making public appearances in a couple months, probably once the spring approaches. Apparently the mother has access to the upper yard and the cubs have followed her out into the yard a couple times, so we're close!
Almost all of the Winter Lights decorations are still up... we may end up taking one more trip in the next week so I'll get to see what that situation is.
We also learned the red pandas are brothers from some volunteers, too.

"Pookie" is Kayla. I wonder if it is a nickname.

Spent 2 hrs at Cleveland. Here's what was new:

- American Black Bear and Snow Leopard were no shows
- Lion let out a very impressive roar that lasted maybe 40 seconds
- Tiger names will be revealed around Valentine's Day
- RainForest construction could start this summer, from an employee.
- Christmas decorations were being taken down
- Unknown if the Leafcutter Ants and Reasarch hut will be re-opened.
- Saw the Amur Tiger cubs and the baby Tufted Deer was taking a few steps outside
