Closed Zoos Due To Weather?

I follow a lot of zoos on Facebook, and it is almost a relief that the torrent of "Santa is here!" posts they put out at this time of year is currently replaced with "We're closed today" accompanied by pictures or video of animals in the snow.

Wild Zoological Park, Gentleshaw, Brockswood, Linton are also closed.

I already saw that Dudley and BWCP were closed today because I follow them both on Facebook, anyone know if places like Blackpool, Chester or Paignton are also closed?

looks like those areas are relatively clear, although there are photos/video of the tigers and bears in the snow from Chester on their site.
Broxbourne (Paradise) is closed
Welsh Mountain Zoo is closed too.

I watch the Sulawesi crested macaques on Paignton Zoo's webcam, and they don't even seem to have any snow there (the macaques have not been out when I have been looking today). The tiger enclosure at Dudley on their webcam looks lovely and pristine with deep snow!

It is nice to see more of the animals - but it will have been a lot of money down the drain today in 'meet santa' refunds :(

It must be extremely difficult to make the decision to close, weighing up the difficulties of making it safe for visitors (and the potential problems should someone hurt themselves whilst on site), the loss of income from entrance fees, events such as Santa visits and the like, the safety of staff travelling to the zoo, maintaining the necessary care for the animals and ensuring they are safe, etc etc. I do not envy them having to make decisions like that.

Whipsnade, Dudley, Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, remain closed today (Monday)
CWP closed til Friday according to their FB

We haven't had a drop of snow in Blackpool.

Went to South Lakes today, apart from a school trip, I was one of 5 other people there ! Had a great day though.

If you like quiet zoos, just before Christmas is the best time of year to visit, as long as you wrap up warm!

Linton was closed today. Surprised to see Whipsnade was open today (free car entry as car park closed) , after it shut for several days the other week when the snow didn’t seem as bad!

Live local to whipsnade and really hardly any snow around here unlike a couple of weeks ago.

I have booked to visit and do a Meet the Lemurs experience at Linton tomorrow. They called today to say they may well be closed again. Argh! Hamerton was also closed today, and I was planning on visiting there on Friday.
