1.0 Jambu Fruit Dove (Ramphiculus jambu) hatched in December.
1.0 Yellow-breasted Fruit Dove (R. occipitalis) hatched at the beginning of February.
(Both species are now very rare in European zoos, each being kept in only a couple of German collections)

Oh noooo-South America in a RUSSIAN CHURCH ? Thihs is an absolute No-Go nowadays.So why no Amurleopards, Sibirian Tigers,Musk deer, Bactrian Camels, Altai-Maral, Baikal Seal and Kamtaschtaka Brownbear in the house surrounding outside exhibits, and the Church as a Russian Restaurant ?

I once read about a research that stated that sarcasm was a sign of high intelligence, which would mean your IQ would really be incredibly high!
 
I don't dislike it. However, I don't see why one would clog news topics with comments that have no further value.
 
Koln finally received a new male Asiatic Lion last week. Male, Tejas (aged 8) traveled from Besancon, France (born at Chester in 2007). He should soon be joined by a young female from Helsinki as well if she isn't already onsite
 
Spectacled owl hatched and being hand-raised.
The 4 week-old Asian elephant ( my source says it's a male ? ) named : La Min Kyaw.
 
Ruffed lemur birth news :
The Red ruffed lemur pair Tahina ( 19 years old and born herself at Cologne ) and male Octave ( 18 years old and born at Mulhouse - France ) produced a healthy young on March 19.
White-belted ruffed lemur pair Yhoda ( 4 years old and born at Belfast ) and male Bari ( no info about him ) produced triplets on March 26 :).
 
At the beginning of August a female Przewalski horse was born, the 71st birth of this species at Cologne.
Mother is Luca, born 2007 at Cologne
Father is Solero, born at Zoo Hunnebostrand - Sweden
Of the 4 adult mares at Cologne 2 more are expecting foals in the coming months.
