Im pretty sure they were returned to the owners wife after. Why, I have no idea.
 
Construction on the upcoming sea lions/Wild World area has begun. Walls have been placed almost right up to the fountain in the middle of the entrance area. Looks like the funnel cake shop and the Animal Encounter Village have both been completely removed. A few pictures can be seen here.
