For all the antelope experts, what are the most common antelope species in zoos?
In the UK now it could be Lechwe, certainly not the lovely Blackbuck which would at one time have been a contender. Perusal of Zootierliste would probably give an answer.Scimitar oryx come to mind for me first. Followed by bongo, eland and yellow-backed duiker, but I don't have any numbers on me.

I read somewhere on ZooChat that Bongos were rare in US zoos. I could be wrong. What? Just a quick Google Search told me that more than 300 bongos are kept in U.S collections, how are they rare? I don't know the numbers for yellow-backed duiker but I recon they are not that rare.
In that case you should have said at the beginning that you were not interested in our insignificant Old World collections. Sorry I spoke.Bongo and Yellow-Backed Duiker are both kept at very few collections in the US.

I’m sorry that I may have hurt your feelings. I never meant to exclude European zoos. I’m kind of curious about how collections are organized compared to the U.S.In that case you should have said at the beginning that you were not interested in our insignificant Old World collections. My bad. Didn't notice. I just read all new posts together. It was posted in the United States forum...
Silly of me. I'll try and answer any questions you may have about European collections.I’m sorry that I may have hurt your feelings. I never meant to exclude European zoos. I’m kind of curious about how collections are organized compared to the U.S.
Thompson's Gazelle.

Blackbuck are very common.Sorry for any inaccuracies, I was going off of a fairly unreliable gut feeling. We need an American Zootierliste! I might look at old ISIS via Wayback later.
Waterbuck and addax are two I forgot to mention. I think blackbuck are in a fair few but are WAY more common in Europe.
Thompson's Gazelle.
Only 16 US zoos keep Thompson's Gazelle. For real? They're quite rare in Europe.
