Cool Exhibits

Hello, this thread is for posting an interesting exhibit and a description of it, it can be an exhibit complex or a stand-alone exhibit. I will give an example, Nashville Zoo’s white rhino exhibit in the the Africa exhibit. It is a large exhibit that is made to resemble hard, dry ground. There is also a nice pond in the corner.

Also, if anyone wants to hear about a certain exhibit, they can post it and if someone has been there, they can describe it. Also I want to hear any thoughts about these exhibits that you may have.

Not to be rude, but how is that exhibit "cool" or "interesting" compared to the dozens of rhino habitats that look just like it?

How is this exhibit either "cool" or "interesting"? From your description it is simply a paddock with hard ground and a pond in the corner.

(EDIT: cross-posted with the above)

By the standards of what I have seen it is pretty cool. Please don’t judge my zoo experience, I am only 13 after all. Either way it was mainly an example of what I was trying to aim for in the responses. :)

If were taking about cool the coolest elephant exhibit that I've seen is Cabarcenos 25-hectare exhibit 19 African elephants live there with 22 calves born there so far

I am big fan of the Indianapolis Zoo’s exhibit, for their African elephants. It’s nice and large which definitely gives these giants plenty of space roam around. But you can’t miss the large pool where the elephants can cool off on hot summer days-but despite my many visits to this establishment I have actually never seen them play in the pool.

I was there in summer of 2019 I was very surprised that the exhibit was that large, such a shame that the breeding stopped in 2012

Leave him alone we are all entitled to are own opinion and if you don't have anything nice then don't say anything at all like my mother always says “Calladito Te Ves Mas Bonito”
Just asking a question is all. No one is being rude or mean. Tone and context are sometimes hard to convey on the internet.

Sorry I get defense sometimes especially to those younger then me even though I am only a year older then him by a year

I would consider Capron Park Zoo's red panda exhibit to be cool as it provides indoor viewing for the pandas, allowing them to be visible even in extreme heat, while not jeopardizing animal welfare. Another cool exhibit at the Capron Park Zoo is the new Rodrigues Fruit Bat habitat, as it provides upclose, diurnal viewing of the bats- making them much more visible and much more fascinating to watch than any Bats I've seen elsewhere.

I haven't been to that many zoos, but one of my favorite exhibits is the Watani Grasslands at the North Carolina Zoo. The main part is 40 acres and contains Southern White Rhinos, Fringe-eared Oryx, Mountain Bongo, Sitatunga, Thomson's Gazelle, Common Waterbuck, Addra Gazelle, and Greater Kudu. Up until a couple weeks ago, it also had an ostrich. There are mud wallows for the Rhinos, sand piles for the Addra, and trees that provide shade. In addition, there is a large wooded area with streams behind a small fence that borders that main area. This keeps the Rhinos out, but most the antelope can go through. There is much viewing into the woods, so it can be difficult to see the Bongo and Sitatunga (who hang out there a lot). You can also take a 40 min. to an hour tour through the exhibit on a bus. This is called Zoofari and only costs $25 a person.

Lol, it is just the fact that being a kid, I have not seen that many crazy exhibits.

Not meant in a nasty or confrontational way at all, but out of curiosity why that exhibit in Nashville? If you've been there, which you appear to have, then why not, say, the excellent Spectacled bear or tiger habitats rather than a fairly run-of-the-mill paddock?
