The zoo should receive Indian rhinos next year, the new exhibit for the species has been approved by the EAZA Species Committee.
The next year is going on and we don't have much info on this. Does anyone know anything? Indian rhinoceroses in Cordoba is an idea I really like.

New species:
- The Cordoba Zoo will be receiving a male Indian rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis) from ZOO Wrocław! A couple will arrive in stages. It is an adult male, 14 years old, whose weight is 2,100 kilos, with a length of 3.70 meters and a height of 1.80 meters. The City Council is already looking for someone to transport it from the Wroclaw Zoo to the Cordoba Zoo and for this it has put out to tender a contract budgeted at 18,137 euros. Interested companies have a period of four months to present their financial offers.
In the contract document it is highlighted that "the Zoo Córdoba Conservation Center has been developing a major change in its facilities in recent years, either with the construction of new facilities, or with the improvement or modification of existing ones, as is the case of the old enclosure of the elephant Flavia converted, in this case, to house the endangered Indian rhinoceros". In this framework, the arrival of said specimen is proposed "through a commitment made to transfer it to our animal collection, and within the framework of the European Conservation Program for the Indian Rhinoceros," the text adds.

New individuals:
- The zoo will be getting a pair of Tiger (Panthera tigris) brothers from Parc des Félins. The post doesn't specify what kind of tiger this will be, and we should take under account PDF keeps Sumatran, Malayan and Amur tigers as well as zoomix ones.

The two tiger brothers have arrived! The articles released claim them to be "Bengal tigers", but looking at their pictures and knowing Parc des Félins houses malayans, sumatrans, siberians and white tigers they look more like Amur tigers (Panthera tigris altaica).
The article also mentions that the Indian rhinoceros exhibit is finished and that they expect the bull to arrive next month.

As far as I know the zoo still keeps both hippo species.
Indian rhino Manas from Wrocław arrived at the Cordoba Zoo two days ago. He endured the long journey (2,900 km) very well.
Great news! Can't wait to see pictures of the new enclosure. Back when the park had the Asian elephant she shared the enclosure with blackbucks, I'd love it if they returned.

New individuals:
- The zoo has received a new pair of Iberian wolves (Canis lupus signatus) called Duero and Luna from within the subspecies EEP.
The zoo used to be home to a lone male now living at Marcelle Natureza, the new pair won't be breeding for now but the zoo hopes to grow a larger breeding wolf pack with individuals from within the EEP. The male, Duero, is an individual arriving from Safari Madrid.
