Not sure if they still have them at Mablethorpe, they certainly used to have them.
 
No longer.

I think Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, Exmoor Zoo, Camperdown Wildlife Centre, Shepreth Wildlife Park all have arctic foxes.

Not anymore. I believe many collections have opted out of Arctics because they don't cope well with dry, warm British (cough, cough) summers. Sorry cannot believe I uttered those words!

Artics are prone to fly strike with those lush fur coats.
 


I saw the above artic fox at Wildwood in July 2009, perhaps it's been moved out in recent times? Yes, it definitely had something wrong with its right eye back then...

PS: Dawn B, that's a great shot! Did you have to wait long for that or do they do a photo tour? Corsacs are very stately foxes, and I would love to add them to my collection of photos :) I spent Saturday morning with the deer at bushy park, boring light that day though. RSCC is just too damned far for me to go at this time. 2.5hrs on a train one way?!

Thanks! My back is still hurting from saturday's shoot. Did you do any shooting over the weekend? I'm actually going to highland wildlife park this weekend for a 2 day photoshoot :) Can't wait for it. The corsacs will have to wait till November, at the earliest. I wonder how the light is in uk at that time?

No shooting over the weekend no, must do this weekend though, I only have Sundays off work.

Highland park, FAB!! (lucky so and so!!;)) Look forward to seeing the results from that. November is dark about 4pm here, but you can get some fantastic autumn light.:)

Hopefully I'll be able to get nice shots from the hwp :) I have more luck getting nice shots by visiting the same place over and over again.

Dark by 4pm?! :eek: You may not know but I'm not local, just working here atm :) Mayhaps it's time for me to look at a tripod :D
