News since 2017:

On March 3rd, 2019, it was reported that the zoo saved a 6-month-old Blanding's turtle on February 14th, after it was found unconscious in a tub used to rear hatchlings.

On May 18th, the zoo announced that they acquired a (0.1) angus cow named Ginny and a (0.1) Guernsey cow named Gigi which are now on exhibit. The facility's old cattle, (0.2) named Olivia and Penelope, were transferred to an unspecified retirement farm.

On January 17th, 2025, the zoo announced that 3 domestic? ducks (breed(s) not specified) passed away due to avian influenza, which caused the facility to move most other bird species on-site bts.
