It's practically impossible to identify the millionth post.

Going by post_id (the unique identifier added to every post in the database, counting up from 1), the millionth post was actually a deleted post by @Nisha bask in 2016 which was self-deleted because it was an accidental duplicate of the previous post: Grandview Aquarium - Guangzhou

... however the post_id is incremented for every post, including those which are deleted - so that wasn't the millionth "visible" post either.

An added complication is that for many years we had gallery comments in the system as discussion threads - so every comment was literally a post as well. Even though comments are now separate, we still count them the same way.

So while it would be nice to celebrate an actual millionth post - the unfortunate reality is "it's complicated".

Average daily posts is between 200 and 300 most days (sometimes as high as 400), so I'm confident today is the day

Of course, us too, I have at least 12-13 hours of school every day, but it is so pock-marked with Zoochat activity it is probably more like 10-11
