Countries you want to visit but haven't

Americas: Canada (despite living near it I've never been), Costa Rica, Ecuador (next year!), Colombia, Venezuela

Europe: U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Switzerland

Africa: Tanzania, Madagascar, Egypt

Asia: Singapore, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia

Oceania: New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea

And because why not, Antarctica.

Now, hardly any of that is realistic for many years, but I can dream :P

That would be specifically somewhere I would like to visit as a result of the high density of surviving archaological and historical sites pertaining to the Byzantine Empire and prior Thracian cultures; for similar reasons I was tempted to add Turkey to my list of Asian countries but ultimately felt the list was a little too long as it was.

Isn't it possible to visit Syria as a tourist at the moment.
Also Iran would be great as you could see Asiatic Cheetahs!

Possible, perhaps - but certainly not *wise* by any stretch of the imagination whatsoever.

And a *lot* of those recent reviews specifically state that they refer to visits to Syria long before the present :P there are TripAdvisor reviews for sites in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali and many other countries which are deemed highly unsafe for Western tourists, but you wouldn't catch me even considering a visit to any of them!
 
England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Want to go to many others but probably won't.

As much as I have a problem with the behaviour of the Israeli government, and as much as I would love to visit Iran, if forced to choose between two countries due to religious prejudice it will always be the one that doesn't discriminate.

Setting aside Europe, as I don't want to give away details of my trip that are still to come, countries that will still be high on my list include South Africa, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Israel, Jordan, Egypt (alas, probably not for a while), Mexico, Peru and Brazil. But that's far from an exhaustive list and I'm inflicted with the problem of always wanting to go back to places I've visited.

I'd love to visit North Korea but the only reason they host those tours is because it's a way to obtain foreign hard currency, which they use to skirt sanctions. So unfortunately I don't think it's an ethical choice at present.

Norway, few zoos but they do exist (at least 8 hours away from each other though, and are rather small), I guess you could see the Northern Lights, go to Svalbard, try some of their obscure foods (usually fish cakes or salt cured lamb), see musk ox, reindeer and polar bears and stay in a wooden, typical Scandinavian cabin with a log fire. If you want to drive to other parts of Norway, do not expect it to be much less than 4 hours. And also remember how expensive products are. Visiting Norway is not cheap.

I currently live in Switzerland, which is overall even more expensive than Norway, so I think I will survive that ;). Fortunately my life also consists of more than zoos and food ;), the landscape, especially in the north must be amazing and many areas are supreme for hiking.

They will actually issue 2 separate passport for you, if you explain you intend to travel to these 2 countries ;), one for each stamp...
 
As the resident aging young person, I can confirm that people still say "I hear that", "I hear you", and often even "I feel you".

Is this your own country or a general policy that most follow?

I remember my Granma telling me she had to visit the two halves of Cyprus in a certain order because one would not allow access if you had visted the other.

Several countries do it (e.g. Germany, US), but I don't know if it is a general rule... A quick search on the internet learns that Israeli will also put their stamps on a piece of paper instead of the passport, to avoid any problems.
