someone literally drove a needle into it' by way of side effects.
I thought the "theory" (If you can call it that) was that Bill Gates had the microchips? Although on a more serious note even joking about these conspiracies can be seen as acknowledging them. Its better to ignore these people and if you respond, remain calm and respond with facts and if possible, links to proof. Now that you've been vaccinated you can also talk about your experience to help ease any fears. Many times people who are hesitant are just scared, don't mock them or troll them. Do your best to convince them that the benefits of this (and other vaccines) far out-way any of the POTENTIAL risks. Didn't mean to ramble but I just want this pandemic to end, I miss seeing my friends and families faces.with the government microchip wasn't too bad...just some arm pain where it was injected.
I was clearly not acknowledging these conspiracies. A joke is not seen as acknowledging them, and I sincerely hope that no one on this forum would perceive mockery of these theories (in which, from what I've seen, there's not just one regarding the vaccine, so even miraculously disproving one will send another army of theories after that one) as genuine support of one or acknowledgement. After all, what anti-vaxxer in their right mind would go and get the vaccine?I thought the "theory" (If you can call it that) was that Bill Gates had the microchips? I never said you were, I was just pointing out that even for fun it can be more harmful then beneficial to do this. In addition to that I was never insinuating you were an anti-vaxxer, I simply gave you my opinion when dealing with vaccine hesitancy. I also make jokes about the sh*t that happens in our world but I also try to be cautious about what I say depending on the circumstances as my joke could affect someone's opinion. I'm sorry if I came of as arrogant or rude but I'm a bit stressed with finals lately and vaccination hesitancy isn't helping. On the subject of conspiracists refusing to believe anything that doesn't agree with their view I think that it can still be beneficial to hear their side and understand where they're coming from. Do your best to attempt to change their mind but if you fail, don't worry too much, natural selection has its way of dealing with those people.I was clearly not acknowledging these conspiracies.
I'm aware of that. It's not harmful to joke about this, I'm sure of it. It's not rude or offensive in any way, nor does it insinuate any malevolent practice.I never said you were, I was just pointing out that even for fun it can be more harmful then beneficial to do this.
Which had nothing to do with my post, or the joke really. In addition to that I was never insinuating you were an anti-vaxxer, I simply gave you my opinion when dealing with vaccine hesitancy.
It really cant, most if not all is just made up and pure fantasy, has no backing besides their own head, and there's really no reason to listen to conspiracies. They're conspiracies, not genuine theories that we're supposed to care about in the slightest, besides the fact that people will genuinely believe them.I think that it can still be beneficial to hear their side and understand where they're coming from.
