( any ZooChatter with more info about the orgin of the Spix macaws at this breeding-station - pure Brazilian orgin or with roots in the Philippines, Al Wabra and/or Germany ? ).

The Criadouro has good cooperation from Loro Parque.

Quite recently, they received some Lear's macaw birds hatched at LP for the release project.
Spix's macaw same thing, I gather.

i hope these spix macaws can be able to travel to curaçá so they can be released in the wild again
