Chester Zoo Crocodile monitor

Hopefully an exchange, 1.0 of Chester's for 0.1 from someone else. Even better if both zoos end up with 1.1
 
Just looked on ISIS it showing 1.1 at Chessington but i know thats not true as Chester got the male from their when the female died,so it looks like the U.K has only 1 male now at Chester.Although their was talk of Noahs Ark Zoo Farm getting 1 on my last visit in march last year don`t know if this happened or not.
 
didn't they get a 2nd one? i'm sure i saw it on zoo days. Am i thinking of a different species or did something happen to the new one?

Yep it came from Chessington,as did the first 2 that they had,because Chessington used to have 2 pairs but as they were the only ones in the U.K,they moved a pair to Chester in case of disease wiping out the whole U.K population.
 
so if ISIS only list them as having 1.0, what's happened to the 2nd one that came from chessington?
 
that's a real shame if its true, they havn't had it long at all, but we all know ISIS to sometimes be inaccurate
 
The crocodile monitors died of old age. Chester plans to exhibit 2.2, if they can get them.
 
Just thought i would give a quick up-date on a species that isn`t an Orang,Lion,Tiger or Elephant ETC,the zoo now has a female Crocodile Monitor and it has been on show in what was the Mangrove Monitor enclosure for at least 3 weeks.Before any 1 asks i have know idea where its come from but i will try to find out.
