I did also read that two of the four orphaned grizzly bears that the zoo currently has will move to a Wisconsin zoo next year. It doesn't specify which zoo, but I would assume they would be moving to Henry Vilas for Arctic Passage.
A pair of Siamangs, named Richochette and Bahiyah, have moved into the Everett and Carol Heringer Family Primate Center, and are viewable in their outdoor exhibit. The zoo is working to get the rest of the center ready for other primates to move in.
Dakota Zoo's 2020 plan includes a complex that will showcase penguins, meerkats and red pandas. If funding allows, there will also be a brand-new American black bear exhibit. The 3-page document on the link below includes a conceptual plan for the 3 smaller species:
On April 2nd, the zoo announced that due to avian influenza, they have taken their waterfowl off exhibit and have temporarily barred their penguins from going into their outdoors exhibit.
