On September 19th, the zoo announced that (0.0.3) more flamingos (species not specified) hatched.

Not sure where that number is coming from - the post states with the addition of a new chick that four have hatched this year. They are American Flamingos.

Earlier in the thread it was mentioned that a flamingo hatched. Since then 3 more hatched so that's how I got the 4 number.

@Zoofan15 reported the first birth on July 4th, but your link seems to only mention the one born on August 24th. Maybe what you are saying is that because it says it is the fourth chick of the season, so two more flamingos must have hatched within that time frame, which makes 3.
