I have found Something very interesting for my Fellow Zoo Chatters, a 3D Tour through the new Danakil Dome of Egapark Erfurt. Unfortunatly this is only aviable in German but Most of the Signage is in english too.
Umsehen Danakil Wüsten- und Urwaldhaus in 3D
The Egapark is a Botanical Garden with a small Childrens Zoo and some Parott Aviarys.The Danakil Tropical Dome was opened in 2021 and Houses both an Desert and an Rainforest Dome. Notable Animals include Scorpions, Spiders, Ants, Black Pacu, Poison Dart and African Bullfrogs, Turtles, Green Tree Pythons, Mastigures, Shinglebacks, Chameleons, free roaming Birds, Gundis, Meerkats, Short Eared Elephant Shrews and even a small nocturnal Cave with Sebas Short tailed Bats and Mouse Lemurs. I think this House is very interesting and Houses its Animals in nice and Natural Enclosures. There are even some nice Rare Species Like the Mouse Lemur, Chaco chachalaca and Cactus Deermouse which are very interesting for us Zoo nerds. I did enjoy this Tour very much and Hope you can enjoy It too.
