In the past week, at least ten of my posts have been deleted and I didn't receive an alert for it. Does anyone know what happened to my deleted posts?

I'm not aware of any - can you link to the threads where your posts have been removed so I can investigate?
It seems like you’re not the only one @Nile Hippo Expert; since a sizeable amount of my post have mysteriously disappeared without an explanation or alert. In fact, only yesterday, I successfully reached 900 posts, but now I only have 668, which is unfortunately strange if you ask me.
You currently have 668 posts and 235 media uploads, which equals 903 total.
The post count under your avatar combines the two under certain circumstances (I think it is to do with your most current post or photo).

I've also noticed a post drop on my account. I'm at just under 710 as of this message, but I was for sure previously at over 750, only a week or two ago. Was there a purge of several old threads recently? Thats the only reason I can think of for my post count decreasing.
There was also some admin changes I made yesterday - there are some forums where there are automatically generated "posts", for example, whenever you "Report" a post, it generates a new thread in tha admin area alerting the moderators to the issue and then allowing us to discuss it and decide on the appropriate course of action.
These Report posts should not have been counted against user post counts, since they are automatically generated. I made this change yesterday and had the system recalculate the number of posts made by each user - which would have seen a drop in post count by many users (especially the moderators!!).
As mentioned by Chlidonias - there was possibly also some quirks in the way we count posts and media uploads, which may have been affected by the update I did yesterday.
I will note that I ran the update at 9:07AM yesterday (my time) and @Nile Hippo Expert reported the issue at 9:46AM yesterday (my time) - so it is likely this is the same issue here.
