The clouded leopard cubs, Pi (male) and Rhu (female) have been joined by a second female cub from the National Zoo's Front Royal facility so that the three can be socialized. Pi and the unnamed female may or may not be paired later in life.

I just got done visiting this zoo, and I really enjoyed it. I am hoping to get a review and photos up sometime in the next few days.

The peacocks will no longer be at the zoo. After enough negative interactions they zoo has decided to discontinue its peacock program.

1) Construction for new Amur tiger exhibit is underway.

2) Maned wolves moved to lapped-faced vulture and lesser kudu yard. The kudu moved to the lori bustard and tortoise exhibit while the vultures are off exhibit.

3) Construction for the new kea exhibit is also underway. It will be located behind Bird World where owls used to be kept.

4) A new snowy-crowned robin chat is on exhibit in Bird World.

Since the zoo no longer has arctic wolves, the old exhibit will be renovated to supply the tigers with more space.

The zoo is using crowdsourcing to help purchase a giraffe restraint device.
