Zoo officials halted a multi-million dollar effort to convert waste into electricity at a gasification plant that was to be constructed on the site. Denver Zoo poop-power project halted
The Denver Zoo is the only institution in the Northern Hemisphere to house Lake Titicaca frogs, an endangered species, zoo officials announced Thursday.
The 20 frogs, hatched as tadpoles in March at the Huachipa Zoo in Lima, Peru, arrived Nov. 18 in Denver.
Within the zoo's magazine is a bit more information about the upcoming Amur Tiger exhibit. There will be two enclosures and quadruple the current outdoor space for the cats.
